I must say that I didn’t pay for directv dvr around Denver so that I could learn how to cook. Usually I find myself bored or overwhelmed by most T.V. cooks. Well, one day my brother-in-law told me about this cooking show that he absolutely loved and said that I had to watch. I politely sat down and watched an episode with him, fully expecting to think, sarcastically of coarse, ‘oh this is soooo gooood.’ When Alton Brown came on with his quirky humor and silly science I found myself pleasantly surprised and I quite enjoyed myself. Good Eats isn’t the standard cooking show where all I learn is how to cook this new amazing recipe. Alton Brown makes things that I actually make or that I am willing to try for the first time. Although that fancy meal made on the other show looked yummy, I am on a budget and can’t afford it. He explains why. Why is this cake light and fluffy? Why is that ice cream yummy? Why did that recipe turn out so crumby? Now I know, because Alton Brown told me so. I even save myself money, because I now know how to make that delectable treat that I used to pay so much to get. Guess where I learned it.
A different kind of cooking show
